Winter in Southern California

I am so excited to join some of my wonderful
SoCal blog buddies for the
SoCal Winter blog hop!
I love the Safari park in the Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter!
(It really is winter here - look - we all have jackets on!)
We enjoyed this adventure with our two youngest grandkids, Nat & Sam.
We know everything is better with grandkids!
We planned our adventures on the big map
and off we went....
Tiger Trail was our first adventure!
We had a sweet treat - Suka the Sumatra baby tiger was out and about!
Then we went to Lorikeet Landing.
Those beauties were hungry - and not shy!
On our way down to Africa we were surprised to see the lemurs up and about!
They usually nap all.day.long.  The cooler weather must have roused them from their slumber.  We were able to walk right up to them!

While we were waiting for the tram to take us through the African  plains
Izu came out and ROARED!
AMAZING!

Natalie enjoyed capturing memories with my camera!
She is quite the little photographer ....
check out the tram ride through Natalie's lens!
She captured the new baby giraffe!
and the baby white rhino!

Look who she captured here!

We had an adventurous day at the Safari Park!  We saw so many amazing animals!
But these kidlets were my favorite part!

  1. You reminded me I hadn't been to the park in a long time. Might have to make a trip out. Thanks so much for graphing activities. They will be perfect with a new unit I am beginning with my ELD group.
